Kathy Zavodjancik is the President of Arizona White Mountain Kennel Club. Having participated in AKC events since the mid 70's showing in obedience and conformation, she also maintains memberships in 2 all breed clubs in the greater Phoenix area. In those clubs Kathy was Secretary for Lost Dutchman Kennel and a member of the Board of Directors for Scottsdale Dog Fanciers Association until moving to Overgaard in 2006. She gives time to those clubs by giving her time to their shows. Kathy is obedience chairman for Lost Dutchman Kennel Club and Day of Show Hospitality for Scottsdale Dog Fanciers Association. As an avid fancier of her beloved Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, PBGV's  as they are known, she is active in the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen Club of America as a Board member.

After chairing a national specialty show in 2003 in Mesa, Az, she agreed to chair it again in 2015 in Tucson. After coming to the White Mountains and getting involved with Arizona White Mountain Kennel Club she agreed to chair the all breed conformation shows for 3 years and is currently learning to chair the agility trial for the future. Animals are her passion.  Being a veterinary technician for 42 years she is dedicated to the care and welfare of animals. Currently she resides with her show dogs and 2 rescue dogs, multiple cats and 3 horses. Her goal as President is to make the White Mountains widely known to the dog fancy as THE place to come and visit, to get out of the heat and come to the cool pines and compete with their dogs. A new event is in the planning stages which opens an entirely different venue for people and their dogs. Stay tuned for more information.
